Study: Recreational Fishing Contributes $2 Billion to CA Economy

From the Santa Cruz Sentinel:

When economist Carolyn Alkire researched the economic impact of recreational fishing, she determined that anglers on fishing trips in the Golden State spend more than $2 billion a year.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service estimates California anglers spend on average $1,365 per year each, $689 on fishing trips and $675 on equipment and other items.
